    The Astor...wow...thank you guys for all your hospitability, service, food quality, ambience and what to say...no words to thank you people...You made our stay very cozy and comfortable. Thank you so much. There is only one problem with these people....you will fall in love with them after spending a very beautiful time with them. And then it will become very difficult for you to leave The Astor...

    The place is convenient in candolim . Few rooms have balconies and few don’t . Staff is nice . The duty manager and the general manager are exceptional

    I was impressed with the well maintained rooms - they're large and very clean. The gym seems good enough for a short workout and the pool is alright - we didn't get to use it because there were too many people. And that's where the problem starts. If you're looking for a a restful few days, then this isn't the hotel for you. We were in room 217, which overlooks the main lobby and the noise level was insane because the hotel seems to be very popular with large groups and families. I barely slept the first night and could hear the phone at the front desk every time it rang as well as most conversations, especially those that took place at 3 am. Unfortunately, the room couldn't be changed because the hotel was sold out so we had to tolerate the noise. Sound proofing is severely lacking in this room and the management should consider shutting it if nothing can be done. All in all, I wish we'd had a better stay since we found it almost impossible to sleep. Couples and solo travellers looking for more privacy should consider hotels further north.
