3rd floor, no elevator, bathroom door was broken.

The host was very helpful and available at the phone number provided, I quickly received answers to any questions that arose. Since the keys are to be picked up from a keybox near the apt., there is no reception and arriving late at night shouldn't be a problem. The apartment, although not located strictly within the city centre, is close to the Lehel Ter metro station, which was very convenient. The apartment is quiet and so is the area, with not many people at night. Beds are comfortable, there is a small kitchen with basic equipment, everything looks just like the photos. AC works very well. People in the building were friendly. The fridge and freezer are functional and pretty big. Dish soap, soap and toilet paper were provided. Overall, nice functional apartment. Small tip, to lock and unlock the door, you need to lift the handle a bit from its horizontal positions (which is not the case everywhere). Also, I think there is another Garam Utca somewhere in Budapest, so please make sure you're headed to the right place :)

Overall, the apartment could be a bit cleaner, although no major complaints. The dishes were not very clean, we had to wash them before use. The shower leaks a bit, although containable. We had issues with the washing machine which didn't finish the laundry over the course of several hours, and did not clean or drain it well. Besides, it is very loud, so I wouldn't recommend running it at night (if at all). Towels were provided, but we found them a bit too small, would recommend replacing them with bigger ones. I'd recommend providing a roll of paper towels too. The door to the bathroom is very thin and doesn't fully shut - can be uncomfortable, but not a major issue. Blinds in the apartment aren't fully functional, we couldn't roll them up (might've been a skill issue though). The apartment tends to get a bit stuffy over time, make sure to open the windows when the AC is off. There is no lift, which obviously cannot be fixed by the owner, but it can be an issue for some (the apartment is on the 3rd floor I think). You might want to be careful walking from the metro station at night as there are a couple of bars and liquor stores nearby, although I found the area to be generally safe. Overall, there were some minor issues, but nothing too serious, definitely recommend the place especially for a short stay.

Nice bed, had everything we needed, decent storage.

When we arrived, there was still laundry of the apartment drying on the rack and there was even wet laundry inside the machine. Which we cleaned up ourselves. Moreover, the shower was leaking after use, even into the kitchen, probably due to some plumbing issue. This should have been fixed, because in another review someone had already complained about it. Also, the water drained extremely slowly, so we could only shower for a few minutes. Finally, when we tried to start the dishwasher, it gave an error, possibly also due to a plumbing issue. However, there was equipment to do it by hand.
