Serene & Secluded Paige Cabin: Dogs Welcome!

The cabin and surrounding woods were beautiful and peaceful. It was a great place to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet time surrounded by nature. The cabin had basic amenities, including a mini-split AC, a small sink, a microwave, and a mini fridge. Overall, the setting was beautiful and relaxing, making it a nice option for someone looking for a rustic getaway in the woods.

The road access was by far the biggest downside. The shorter route to the main road is in terrible condition, with uneven dirt, loose sand, and mud. It looks like it could flood easily, and the road is so narrow that there is practically no room to maneuver if another vehicle is coming from the opposite direction. Your only other option is to take a longer route that eventually connects to a paved, two-lane road. The mini-split AC worked okay during our stay, but we visited during a cold front, so I can't say how well it would handle the Texas summer heat. The amenities are also very limited, with only a small sink, microwave, and tiny refrigerator. We also heard gunshots at night, which took away from the peaceful atmosphere we expected. Overall, the cabin itself is beautiful, but the road conditions and limited amenities are significant drawbacks. This place may work well for some people, but it's definitely not for everyone.
