    I stayed at Mehood Elegant Hotel Shanghai Bund for 5 days and 4 nights, and overall it was a comfortable stay. The location is excellent and feels extremely safe, as it’s right next to a police station in a quiet business district. It’s very convenient for sightseeing—just a 10–15 minute walk to The Bund, and perfect for morning runs along the riverfront at North Bund Greenland. I mostly used Didi to get around, which was quick and close to all major attractions. The room itself was very spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The only downside was the housekeeping service. Towels were not changed, and even though I requested room cleaning before heading out for the day, I would return in the evening to find my room untouched for several days in a row. They ended up sending staff to clean the room around 9:00 PM instead. However, I appreciate that the management took responsibility for the issue and offered free breakfast the next morning as a sincere apology. Despite the housekeeping delays, I still had a pleasant stay, and considering the price, I think it offers great value for anyone visiting Shanghai.

    We stayed in the family room consists of 2 single bed and 1 queen bed in Dec 2025. This is probably one of the worst hotel I ever stayed in. I found mold in the shower. The shower head is faulty and doesnt hold well. There is no privacy — the shower wall is transparent and this was a disaster as we were all adult. It winter and the central heater is switched on. Our room is overheating like a sauna and we weren’t able to adjust the temperature. The hotel staff claimed that it all the same in Shanghai (I doubt his word). We had to resort opening the window throughout the night allowing the cold air in. The condition of the room isn’t great either, feels cheap and things is breaking apart (wall is coming off etc) Otherwise, Hotel staff were decent, smooth check in and -out. Overall would not recommend to anyone unless your budget is tight.
