The room we were given didn't match the one we booked on *** We booked a room with a outside facing window. They gave us a room with a window facing a small interior courtyard of some sorts. They did not adjust the price accordingly.
Since there was no door on the shower, the entire bathroom got wet when we showered. The doorknobs were rusty, and you had to hammer on the nightstand to open its drawers. We even saw a cockroach. They warned us several times that stains on the bed and towels would trigger extra charges so we had to be careful all stay to not get sunscreen anywhere for example.
As other reviews have noted, outside noise carries in easily, and through our inside facing window we could hear other guests talking in their room. It’s especially loud on weekends or when the restaurant has live music scheduled.
Both the housekeeping staff and the restaurant play Christian music.
There was no room cleaning service either.
It is close to the center square which was the one positive but as mentioned, that came with some noise.

Thank you for all the staff of Hotel Guatatur for amazing experience. We arrived around 12 midnight and lady that received She accommodate us really well also they give us a room that fit to our needs..this place is closed to bus stop going to Medillin and other places to visit.. its worth it of money and also safe. Thank you

The hotel had a nice view, but it was very noisy at night. The room felt outdated and could use some renovation. El hotel tenía una buena vista, pero había mucho ruido por la noche. La habitación estaba anticuada y necesita renovarse.
