About this house rental

A true lake house, originally a hunting cabin, built by a railroad worker using reclaimed materials. Once the dam was installed, the home was raised, expanded, and sits on 3 lakefront lots with an easy walk to the water for relaxing, swimming, or mooring your boat/PWC. Located on the quiet and calm water end of Big Bay with warm, clear water and only a short 5-minute drive to Shell Knob Harter House grocery store, ski shop, town.

Home features a full remodel 10 years ago, full-length southern exposure deck facing the water, expansive sliding doors, newer air conditioning, wood-burning fireplace, outdoor fire pit, updated, fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, RV/Boat trailer parking area, and close local boat launches.

AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO RENT SUMMER 2026, as this has been our family home since we purchased. We are VRBO-experienced hosts and look forward to offering the same guest experiences as below:
