Hope to stay again on a future tip

The three room unit has a separate living room with two couches and a TV. The kitchen area has a four seat table and a full kitchen including an oven, microwave, and all other appliances. The separate bedroom has a TV and a nice closet. The unit was super clean and fully stocked regarding dishes, utensils, etc. The skylights open for air flow and the unit has much light coming from the skylights to make it nicely lit.

No backyard (as advertised), extra fees charged retrospectively - very disappointing experience

The apartment was clean.

We booked the TLA apartment – despite the rather steep price – because of the advertised garden/backyard (since my husband had to take the car to work, while I would be spending the days with our one-year old son). Upon our arrival, we were shown the apartment, no mentioning of a backyard. Only when I asked, the owner vaguely pointed to the backyard with the words “yeah, I guess you can use it”. Well, I guess not. What was advertised online as a place to “sit back and relax” is really a piece of land with browned grass, garden furniture scattered all over the place, a trampoline with a big hole in it and a swimming pool with bright green water. Unfortunately, this was not the only inaccuracy in the description: The balcony actually belongs to the owner’s apartment, with no access from the booking.com property, the advertised BBQ is located on the balcony, the "landmark view" was Ikea across the (main traffic) road, the fan was still in the box and had to be assembled and the promised baby cot had not mattress in it (we ended up buying one ourselves for which we were reimbursed, but since we arrived on a weekend, the situation was less than ideal). Nevertheless Boris, the owner, seemed nice and helpful: We brought two bicycles with us and when I asked whether I could lock them on the fence within the property, he generously offered to keep them in a little shed at the back of the property. Turns out the offer was not so generous after all - after our departure, Boris sent me an invoice over €315 as a fee for the bicycle storage (although he had never mentioned that using his shed would incur any fee whatsoever). Needless to say that I would never consider staying here again.
