Lovely property. Very comfortable and well equipped. Nicely decorated. Table tennis table/pool table in games room were great entertainment for the kids.

Could only watch the TV in the bedroom. Not a good reception on the other two.

Euriona was a great host – really friendly, proactive with communication and always on hand if we needed anything. She even offered us a complimentary late check-out, which was hugely appreciated given we were travelling with a young family. The location is superb. Newborough Forest is quite literally on the doorstep and easily walkable from the house. The surroundings are incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it a great base for exploring the area.

Unfortunately, we found all of the mattresses quite uncomfortable. Given the price point of the property, this was probably our biggest disappointment. For a house of this size, we were also surprised there wasn’t a washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher. To be fair, these weren’t listed as amenities, so that was my mistake for assuming they would be included, but at this size and price point I think they would make a big difference – particularly for families staying for a week or more, as the nearest launderette was nearly a one hour round trip. Similarly, some of the smaller touches – toiletries, towels and bed linen – didn’t quite reflect the more luxurious feel that the price of the property suggests. Finally, this is a dog-friendly property, which we knew beforehand. It was one of our first times staying somewhere dog-friendly (we don’t have a dog), though, and despite the house having been cleaned, there were quite a lot of ingrained dog hairs in the sofas and rugs. That may be completely normal for a dog-friendly property, but it was more noticeable than we’d expected. Overall, a fantastic location with a genuinely lovely and helpful host. With better mattresses, a few additional appliances and some upgrades to the furnishings and amenities, it could be a really excellent stay.
