Cottage was clean and tidy, and incredibly well presented

A very minor gripe, but the small sofas in the lounge area were not particularly comfortable when wanting to sit and watch a film in the evening. They just felt very small (I appreciate it isn’t a large space), like you were perched on them. It didn’t affect our stay, just a small bit of feedback.

Beautiful cottage but not for me.

Beautifully decorated property with really comfy beds. Bedrooms are spacious and well equipped. Nice kitchen and diner. Good location and plenty of off road parking. Communal outside space as well as a smaller private courtyard with picnic table. Though it’s on the main road, you really don’t notice it.

Sofas in living room are extremely small and uncomfortable. The property is part of a larger building that has been divided, and in the larger bedroom and kitchen we could hear every word of conversations from the larger rental next door. The radio in the kitchen did help mitigate this. I also found the combination of the additional damage deposit and lists of rules and charges a little excessive and off-putting. The owners have obviously had trouble in the past, but most reasonable and decent people don’t need to be lectured in this way about how to use a rental property. It made me feel a little unwelcome and quite on edge. I understand the owners are entitled to protect their property in whatever way they wish, but the tone was not for me.

Absolutely lovely cottage in a great location, just need some issues resolved

The cottage is in a prime location n the village with lots of private space to easily park a car. On entering the cottage it has been fitted out to a very, very high standard. The kitchen is brilliant, the lounge okay (the 2 x 2 seater couches are rock hard,) the bedrooms and beds are exceptional. The shower room is okay.

On arrival there is a book in the kitchen with details about the cottage and the area around it, which is good, but then it also lists 'fines' if you don't leave the book, clear the beds, close the windows; just put a bit of a dampener on things. The shower had not been cleaned for a while, a long while, I needed to clear hair from it to allow the water to drain; next day I bought a bottle of Mr.Muscle drain cleaner which cured the issue. Finally, one day the electric had gone off from the kitchen, the wifi was down and the water was cold. I checked the switch board and they were all okay. Luckily the cleaners arrived and found a switch on another board in a utility room, which guests don't have access to, had tripped so put it back on; ut that was at 10:45 before we could shower.

Lovely cottage in Anglesey

Charming well equipped cottage in Newborough village. The cottage was spotless, felt modern inside without losing character, and had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend in Anglesey. Just 2.mins walk to local store, pub and great tapas bar (Red Squirrel). Just a few minutes drive to the Newborough Forest car park for walk to Llanddwyn Beach. Highly recommended.

This has to be the most bizarre experience I’ve had using booking.com. A “9.3 Genius rating”. We’ve always trusted this

Free parking off the road.

Cleanliness, absolutely disgusting. Full of dog hair and stench. Kitchen, cutlery unclean, draws full of old food and crumbs, water left in the kettle, no cleaning cloths, bin had rubbish in it, kitchen cushions black dog hairs over them. Hallway filthy, dirt and debris, old Tupperware lid behind furniture. The cleaner had to come out on our arrival and said “furniture is not moved to clean”! Settees are the most uncomfortable you could purchase, dog hair all over them. Not able to watch terrestrial tv as the signal is not strong enough. Mattress in main bedroom ok for comfort but when we stripped it down on departure we were shocked at how stained it was 🤢

Great place to visit with fantastic beaches and restaurants.

Everything was clean and explanation for all aspects of the house in a book. The location was great for us being near the race circuit and then to other aspects of the island to explore during our stay for the week. Our hoist gave us lots of good advice for places to visit and eat that were all excellent,

I would not say didn't but the one of the beds was not the most comfortable for me and could do with renewing I think and the other although comfortable was a double and I have long legs. So no Goldilocks for beds but everything else was spot on.

Relaxing family break

Convenient to attractions. Clean and beautifully decorated. Great that we could also take our dog Ted. The hosts really looked after us. They provided us with places to visit and places to eat. They were always working hard to make our stay as perfect as could be. Thank you. We had an amazing time ☺️

Host was friendly & we felt that we could ask anything if we needed to, but they had obviously thought of everything so there was nothing else we needed to know. Great location, very tastefully decorated & very clean, just the right size for 4 people for a short stay.

Beautiful house with all amenities location fantastic.

House was beautifully restored and modern with all the amenities you would need. On a plot with two other properties, one still being renovated. Lovely village location. Easy walk to Newborough forest and onto the Llanddwyn beach. Footpath across the road and follow right of way past caravan park into forest. Local facilities friendly pub, shop and chip shop. Dog friendly. Larger shared grass area towards the back but not fully enclosed and cattle in field on opposite side of single track, so take care with your dogs.

Astroturf can get very hot for dogs. Both bathroom and toilet had plain windows with blinds both facing another properties windows, felt glass film or obscured glass would provide more privacy, owner advised. One property is still being renovated and the shared facilities were not available, This did not bother us at all, the work was completed when we were out during the day and we were so busy didn’t need the facilities. A sign from the road would be helpful as we drive past twice on our arrival.

The cottage and beautiful surroundings area made up for the poor weather

The owner met us at the cottage to hand over the keys. She was able to provide local information that we would have been otherwise unaware of i.e. northern lights that evening, where to eat and where to see the squirrels. The cottage was very clean and very well furnished with some great art and crafts that made it homely. There was a welcome pack for us.

There was nothing. Maybe the kitchen/diner could have done with a TV in there instead of the bedroom, as more time is spent in the kitchen.
