Great location, though it’s a bit of a walk from the ferry. But once you are there, getting to the interesting places on Gulangyu is easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was great - only suggestion would be a mirror for the sink. There isn’t one and that made shaving a bit hit and miss… but overall - wonderful place and the staff are just fantastic.
Breakfast was… local? Possibly a bit more variety, or even consulting the guests on what they might want? That being said, it was certainly filling. And the staff couldn’t have been nicer.

Good view to see the famous light and rock scenery and 8 corner building.
It's an antique building to be treasured.
It's a little bit hard to find the location.

Beautiful old building with a lovely little garden, very reasonably priced. There are 4 cats living there who were very friendly and happy to be stroked or have their photos taken! The higher floor where I was staying had amazing views.
It is a very very steep climb from the ferry terminal. As I got to know the island I found an easier way which was a bit longer but much less steep - I wish they had told me this.
