The Hilltop Cabin Retreat in Bass Lake Heights

The cabin was cozy and comfortable. We loved the layout of the cabin with the bedrooms on opposite sides of the kitchen/great room area. Since we were in town for our annual Bass Lake family reunion, we chose the cabin based on its proximity to our brothers’ home which is a block away. The cabin would also be great for visiting Yosemite, which we have done in previous times. We had to cook a full meal for our 8 siblings and spouses, so we fully utilized the kitchen, which was better stocked than most vacation homes. In fact, everything was so thoughtfully provided, even the bed and pillows were very comfortable! The host was very responsive to questions throughout the entire process. The backyard is quaint and a side deck was a nice spot to enjoy sunset and sunrise. The view from the great room windows was so peaceful. Even the WiFi worked really well, we had ample hot water, and the refrigerator and stove/oven were a higher grade. Overall we were very pleased and our siblings are vying over who gets to take the other bedroom at the next reunion. We would definitely rent again.

The thermostat was confusing at first but once I got the hang of it, I was able to adjust as needed. I’m just not used to a computer style system so consider it user error!

The bedrooms were on each side of the house which allowed for more privacy. The cabin was clean and comfortable and in the perfect location for our stay.
