About this house rental
THE FLAMINGO HOUSE is an nine-bedroom home divided into seven separate units. The property sleeps 20 and offers a large garden with a dining deck under the stars, cornhole area, & lounge. This listing is to rent the entire property. Picture adult summer camp! Walking distance to Cruz Bay, shops, dining, beaches, + hiking. The lower level features a three-bedroom unit with a private deck + 2 one-bedroom apartments with a full kitchen. The upper level offers three studio condos with kitchenettes and adjoining balconies with sunset views + a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Alan grew up on the island and Amanda has been fortunate enough to live here since 2009, so we are happy to share our insight and opinions with you! We are about a 3-minute walk down to Cruz Bay beach, where the ferry boats come in. There is a swim zone off the beach where boats are not allowed. That area is also home to Joe's Rum Hut, Beach Bar, Lovango Rum Bar, High Tide Grill, The Wine Bar, and LowKey Watersports. Just about a quarter-mile away is the hiking trail that gets you out to Solomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach. Most of the beaches are on the North shore, which is accessible by car or taxi and about 10 minutes away. Another few minutes walk is the shopping center of Mongoose Junction, home to the Tap Room Microbrewery, 18/64 sushi lunch, Sun Dog cafe, Greengos Mexican Cantina, and lots of other shopping and dining. Our favorite restaurants in the area are La Tapa, The Lime Inn, Extra Virgin Bistro, and Morgans Mango.

The property and hosts, coupled with secure off street parking and a convenient location, provided the fabric for a wonderful week in paradise. We, a group of 17, had the entire building. The layout enabled us to have opportunity for individual and shared time. We utilized every amenity; all the provided items made packing for the trip so much easier.
