Beachfront bliss

Location was amazing and we enjoyed a remarkable sunset on the beach. Local shops had everything we needed for a delightful one night stay.

We LOVED the view and access to the beach. We had a girls weekend with lots of snacks and down time by the fire. The fireplace was cozy, and outdoor fire pit was a bonus too.

The shower could do with an upgrade however it was fine. The hot water to the outdoor bath stopped working too, but didn’t bother us too much as only wanted a quick soak.

The location was stunning - loved the outdoor bath and the firepit. Such a glorious place to watch the sun go down. The decor was quite quirky and the cooking facilities were too ... the right people care more about that view though!

Making food was a bit of a challenge.

The location is beautiful. Beachfront overlooking Kapiti Island.

The property is advertised as having a fire. However there was no firewood or material to have a fire indoors which in winter is a significant part of the appeal of a beachside cottage. An outdoor bath is also advertised. However it was full of leaves. Did not have a tap that we could see to turn it on and appeared to only have cold water feeding it . The outdoor fire pit did not have any fire wood stacked up or kindling available so it wasn’t easy to use. We were able to light it but we had to search for firewood at the rear of the property. The bathroom is very small and the shower doesn’t have a tray so the water goes all over the floor.
