Casa De La Vida

Beautifully styled, modern villa in a quiet side street. Very spacious and clean.

Same as many villas in Indonesia, I'm not a fan of the flimsy doors and basic locks. It's really not hard for someone to break in if they wanted to. Also, we couldn't find a safe anywhere, if there was one? And, some bedside lights would be good... the only lights in the bedrooms are operated via wall switches, meaning you have to get out of bed to turn them on and off.

The villa is big and having 3 bathrooms is great. Each bedroom has a/c so that's nice. The pool is a good size and warm, it's a good place to sit around for a few hours. The villa is kept very clean and the bedding and towels are very high quality. The location is pretty good for Legian, 15 minutes walking or a 30k taxi, also similar to Trans studio mall. The main road locally is much less touristy than Legian but still has plenty of shops and Cafes, the nearest supermarket is brilliant I wish we had supermarkets this nice in Australia.

The location was good but also I could imagine some people seriously disliking it, the actual street gives creepy back street vibes but nothing bad happened. Also the street is disgusting, there are empty blocks that are stacked 2 meters high with litter and the whole street is vile. Once you're inside the garden you wouldn't know you the street was bad. As a family of 5, 3 double beds weren't ideal but we knew that when booking.

The villa is beautiful, so much space for our family. There is a laundromat a few doors down and a supermarket around the corner making it easy to stay in and enjoy the villa.

I didn't think I would like staying so far from Legian Beach, but it was a great location, super easy to get everywhere using gojek or taxi.
