Bounce Airlie Beach

The pillow is a proper hotel pillow, it was flat and the bed felt clean. They only give you a sheet but you can ask for a blanket and it’s a fluffy one. Stayed in a 14 bed mixed dorm as it was the only one left and surprisingly I had a good sleep. Only thing was there was NO vibe. They had a ping pong game and only 3 people showed up. Big hostel that has potential but seems like it wasn’t very social and I’ve heard this has been an issue before with previous stays by friends. It does have a very good gym next door for hostel residents to use for £7

No vibe at all and situated a little far away from main town so you feel a big isolated but easy enough to walk down to the main place.

I would say, one of the best hostels to stay at in Airlie. Bathrooms and rooms were relatively clean.

May need to put up an instruction list on the manual to keep the sinks at the kitchen clean.

Nice vibe, good pizza, and a pool table.

I didn't really fit in the beds, they didn't serve any coffee, and, well, it's a hostel.

The bathrooms are nice, modern and big shower areas. Beds are also good, comfortable with individual lights and shelves. The kitchen area is also good, nice to stay in hostels with airfryers now, and there is a big walk in fridge. Events seem good, there was a wine and cheese night (although note it's actually sangria that's served).

I feel like the photos make this place look better than what it is, I've stayed in hundreds of hostels all over the world and while travelling Australia - this one is more expensive than other hostels in the area and honestly I don't think it's justified. Sure it looks modern and nice etc. but I don't find it's very functional for a hostel. There aren't many places to relax and be comfortable like couch seating area, just a small corner which is taken up quickly by groups. Reception closes at like 9pm I think it was, and it's not clear how to get in touch with anyone if you arrive after this.
