Le lit inconfortable

The 4th floor apartment at the South end of Roses has nearby bars & restaurants & is close to the boat trip pickup locations & the huge beach. The sliding glass enclosed balcony with round table & 4 seats, & small double seats, faces the hotel opposite, with views to the beach to the right, and catches the morning sunshine. The lounge/diner/kitchen is large with: 2 click-clack sofa-beds, smart TV, drawers containing games, a large dining table with 5 chairs (more chairs were stacked on the balcony), and adequate kitchen area with everything you could need. Adequate bathroom, with over bath shower & screen with high pressure. The bedroom, with window overlooking the apartments' pool & huge patio below, the beach, South harbour and boats passing on the inlet beyond. Double cupboards for clothing storage. Other extras included: 2 large loungers & 2 small plastic beach seats; hallway cupboard with cleaning equipment & beach equipment above; decorative items & plants on walls and shelving creating a homely feel. We thought the apartment was fantastic.

No air conditioning. We did not realise we had to preorder towels and bedding (with a charge), so arriving very late on a Saturday night, we had neither. Furthermore the office used to administer this was closed on the Sunday. Contact with the host was good, and we visited the Sunday market at advised to buy some bedding (€8), and towels. So if you are booking, confirm bedding and towels will be supplied. There was not toilet paper. We had to buy some first thing Sunday morning.
