No lift, as expected steep narrow stairs but not enough to deter us from enjoying the apartment.Very handy to bars cafes and restaurants as well as Paddington station across the road.

Noise from the neighboring room; noise and vibration from the subway/train; exiting is difficult in case of emergency; the lock on the front door is difficult to open.
