Bel Appartement a 5 minutes du Louvre

Location superb with everything close by. Host was superb communication very quick response and happy to help with any request. I’d asked if property had air con, or if a fan could be provided. Temps were 50 degrees, arrived fan in room and windows had been opened. The apartment is cool however but it was an incredibly nice touch.

Secured courtyard entrance, however the cafe next door had the back door of the cafe open into the courtyard, it meant people could come through and go out via the cafe. Not a deal breaker at all.

Great value. Wasn’t too expensive for a really great location in Paris. Had all the basic things we needed for a few days. Everything was clean when we arrived and shower had good water pressure and got hot.

Bed was a bit firm and shower is super small but that’s what we expected for a studio for this price.

The apartment is just 5 blocks from the Louvre. On the street outside there are cafes and boutiques, easy to get that morning cup of coffee! And it is in the middle of many streets that are constantly bustling with activity, so many things to see, yet once in the apartment, it's quiet. We shopped and cooked, thanks to the host the kitchen is one of the best equipped we've had. There is a towel warming rack in the bathroom, which was a lifesaver because my luggage didn't arrive for two days and undies and socks were dry right away. There is a dishwasher and clothes washer. There are two USB ports by the bed, and of course WiFi. Streaming was not a problem. We usually stay in at night, but because there was so much activity around our street/ neighborhood we got out almost every evening to enjoy people watching and delicious desserts. Our host was amazing. She was very responsive to all our questions and needs, replying quickly...you know how important that is! The codes and the video made it easy to get into the apartment. The host is skillful, experienced and attentive with communicating. We had the best experience, and would return to this lovely apartment in a flash to enjoy amazing Paris. We love the apartment! We love the host!

The bedroom is small, but the mattress is a good size for 2 people to fit comfortably, although one of them must be nimble enough to crawl into and out of the bottom of the bed.

The location is perfect - you can walk pretty much everywhere; 10 mins to the Louvre, 20 mins to Notre Dame, 30 mins to the foot of Montmartre, etc. There are several metro stations within a short distance, it's very easy to get to/from Gare de Nord. The apartment is off a very lively street and there are many cafes, boulangeries, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The apartment itself is in an inner courtyard so it's very quiet, you don't hear any traffic or noise from the street. It was easy to find and get in, using the host's instructions. It's roomy enough for 2 people and the kitchen seems very well equipped. We only used the kettle, but you could prepare meals there if you wanted. Good heating with radiators in both rooms, which was very appreciated in January. The shower is also good. There are enough cupboards to put your stuff in.

It could have been cleaner, the floor was dirty and had not been vacuumed or mopped recently. There weren't enough surfaces to place things on, no coffee table in front of the sofa. There was a very strong smell of mould and the air inside the flat was damp. The host mentioned a leak from the flat above that happened the previous week, we could see water damage on the walls and doors. We left a window slightly open during the day, but the smell was still overpowering when returning in the evening. Once we arrived back home and unpacked our luggage, all of our clothes smelled of mould, including the clean ones we hadn't worn.
