VESTA - Heliopolis Residence

The property is very clean, centrally located and beautifully decorated, with a blend of modern and classic styling. We loved the hotel-quality bedding and toiletries and the comfortable furnishings. Beds were so nice and comfy. The kitchen is a bit dated and sparsely outfitted—we wished it had more plateware and serving ware to serve a family meal but otherwise, it worked out fine. Communication with the host company was a bit confusing at first but everything turned out well and they were accommodating.

The owner is greedy and no idea about hospitality, just concerning the review score. On the same day we were supposed to stay in the apartment, the owner mov d us to the different place due to the electricity failure. Because of this, I had to cancel three taxies which I books through Booking.com less than 24 hours, and we didn’t get any refund (paid $30 with my credit card) . I explained our circumstance and asked the owner of the apartment to compensate $30, but she didn’t understand why I couldn’t get refund ( maybe a language issue), and refuse to pay the compensation. Then she started harassing me telling me she could refund if I write the full score review. I found this disgusting. I will upload the screenshots of her messages below. Besides that, the apartment had only two sets of towels (a big one and a small one) for three people. I informed it to the owner, but no reply, no apologies (We shared the towels among us), and next morning (check-out) she sent me another message to make sure I would make the full score review so that I would receive the refund of $20 (not $30; it was reduced somehow….). It is very clear only the owner concerns is the score of the review and make money. She is not professional; as long as things go well, you would be all right. However, when something happens (like this time), she cannot handle properly in a pleasant manner. I booked many hotels through Booking.com and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. As I wanted to be fair, I gave her very good scores on the location, but not to her. I decided not to make a deal with her because I wanted to write about this honestly.
