Casa das Laranjeiras

The hosts take pride to ensure you have an excellent stay. They would message to make sure we arrived without issue, had a restful night or needed anything. Accommodation and the whole property is well maintained and clean, double bed was comfy, lots of space, and a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. It is walkable from the train station and to other attractions and restaruants, but is a good uphill walk there, ~260 foot incline walk. Upon arrival there were fresh oranges to make OJ, snacks, water and some port wine to wecome us. A very yummy and large breakfast spread is provided in the morning with hard boiled eggs, a variety of breads, meat Cheese to make sandwiches, fruit, yogurt drinks. The pool and pool area are well maintained, clean and beautifully landscaped with shade during the hot afternoon and a beautiful view. I would definitely recommend and stay again if we ever return to the area

Antonio and Christina were brilliant hosts, excellent self contained accommodation with secure private parking, excellent location near the Douro River, The bottle of lovely Port was a nice touch on arrival as was breakfast served in the morning

The villa and the service were great. The garden with orange trees and pomegranate was really beautiful and the pool clean and well maintained. Apreciated the homemade port wine waiting for us as a welcome drink as well the coffee and the breakfast was very very nice.

Perfect location, swimming pool and accommodation was outstanding with everything you need - from coffee and port to fresh orange juice. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They even drove us to the train station AND drove us back again when I realised I’d forgotten something.
