About this house rental
Your Abilene adventure begins at this 2-bedroom house. Located next to the Enterprise building (tallest building in Abilene) and walking distance to Glorias Grill (best burger and chili cheese joint in town). It is also near many fun activities like Abilene Axe throwing and a few night clubs. If you walk straight down Elm and cross S 1st you will land in the famous Everman Park known for its most beloved Dr. Seuss characters. If you are a home body this home provides many comfortable sitting nooks for you to enjoy a book, cuddle up with your phone or laptop or just relax and watch TV in either bedroom or living room. With an ample size back yard it is great for outdoor cooking. It has all basic amenities from washer/ dryer to shampoo and full kitchen basic appliances. We look forward to welcoming you to our place. This property has so much character and has been around since before many newer buildings downtown. It has a fully fenced back yard where you can pull up an RV, boat, or trailer and safely lock up inside the back yard. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a walk downtown. The kitchen has full appliances from coffee maker, plates, pots, pans, tea kettle, knives, cutting board, wine glasses, and so forth. We have a full bar tap dining area located directly in front of the bar area.

The location was fantastic for the wedding we attended at D&W underground. The photos and descriptions were moderately inaccurate. The property lacked cleanliness, the flooring throughout the entire home was extremely loud & creaky. It was communicated after check in that the floors in the master bedroom were creaky and there would be someone coming to fix it after our visit. ALL of the floors in every room were extremely loud & it made it hard to move around the house without waking the other guests. The doors to all of the bedrooms and bathroom were also very loud, had to be slammed shut, or didn’t slide closed at all. The TV didn’t work at all, the backyard did have a “fire pit” but the seating was minimal, the yard was dirty & full of toys, balls & trash. It lacked a feeling of safety & cleanliness. The host was responsive and helpful, but that doesn’t change the actual property itself. There was a roach found in the kitchen (alive) Unfortunately I would not book again for these reasons.
