Lakewood Lodge

The place had a homey feeling. It was equipped with absolutely everything you would need. Heaters galore if you visit wintertime. It was very quiet. And it had an exceptional back yard / garden. We loved our stay here.

The third bedroom, which I guess was designed to be kids’ room, could have benefited from better beds. Also, the other rooms could also be improved with more supportive mattresses.

That bathroom & toilet are separate. House is mordern, comfy & beautiful. Just need a electric fans in the smaller bedrooms as it gets quite warm at night during summer (January month).

The house had a very retro cum homey feeling. My children felt we were staying over at a relative's home. The kitchen was very well equipped, we had everything we needed. Sofa was spacious and comfortable. Retro board games and books, and even a tape recorder. Communication with host was great, she was responsive and very friendly and helpful.

Beds were a little too soft for us.

Property was clean, quiet neighborhood, kitchen was reasonable.recliner chairs comfy

The electrical firehazard behind the TV, which sparked when you switched on and off as did one in the kitchen when you pulled the plug and my son got a shock off one in the bedroom. I switched it off when not in use as i was concerned about fire. Extender plugs on extention plugsThe house looked tired, wallpaper coming off, also the rule about having to take rubbish with you, impossible if you flew down or have a car packed to the hilt. No other holiday place I have stayed had this rule. It should be part of the stay.
