About this house rental

This well-furnished and bright family Bach has great views across the lake with a spacious lounge area, four bedrooms and two outdoor dining areas. Great for a large family or two smaller ones this property is just minutes away from a quiet, sheltered spot on the lake or a short (6km) drive into Taupo town centre.

This is a great family sized home, ideal for two families and conveniently located in Acacia Bay. The house sits at the rear of a large section, perfect for backyard cricket or parking the cars, *boats and jet skis. This unique u shaped home is situated on one level and includes an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. There is an outdoor lake-facing balcony to enjoy the stunning views, as well as a sheltered patio located in between the rooms.

The kitchen has all the usual mod cons and there is a large family dining table and ample couches for everyone to watch the TV next to the gas fire. The bedrooms allow for the adults to have their own end of the house, with a bunk room for the kids to enjoy at the other end. Complete with a spacious family bathroom close to the bedrooms and an additional bathroom just off the kitchen.

The home has Three bedrooms offering various bedding configurations and two bathrooms.
• Bedroom 1: 1 Queen Bed
• Bedroom 2: 2 King Single Beds (walk-through room between the living area and other bedrooms)
• Bedroom 3: 1 Single Bunks
• Bedroom 4: 1 Queen Beds

The boat ramp is just a short drive away and there is a local dairy, restaurant and cafe back along Acacia Bay Road. Just along Marpara road, a short drive (or walk and earn that coffee!) to the renown L`Art Cafe and Gallery, a unique cafe and gallery that is set in a magical garden, complete with an outside mosaic living room.

Please note:
This home has a steep driveway which may not be suitable for large boats.
There is no Wi-Fi or BBQ available.
The room with the 2 king single beds is a walk-through room between the living area and other bedrooms. The home is elevated and has steep external stairs for access which may not be suitable for everyone.

This is a classic Kiwi Bach as we know and love, it is a simple and affordable shared home with no frills, made for families to enjoy and make lasting memories of Great Lake Taupō. For this reason, there may be a level of personal belongings.
NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels) or use our hire service. If you wish to add the linen hire of $17.25 per person, please select this option when booking or let us know in the comments section.

Strictly no parties, a few quiet drinks are fine, but you must be respectful of the property and its neighbours. As the home is elevated and near the Lake, noise can really travel so please keep this in mind as disruption to the neighbors will not be tolerated.
This is a family home in a quiet residential area, not suitable for large groups of adults. An additional guest surcharge applies for more than 6 people.
When making a booking request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and your plans for while you are in Taupō.

We have a strict no large group or parties policy, disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted.

You will be required to complete a check in form prior to arrival (excluding identity verified, Airbnb accounts) which will include a copy of your ID and the details of all guests intending to stay at the property. Failure to complete this form will result in the booking being cancelled.

The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. For breakages or damages be aware that you will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee. It`s your responsibility to familiarise yourself with potential hazards or situations during the stay and take appropriate care or actions if needed.

All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were. A general service clean is included, but if the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $50.00 per hour, this includes BBQ’s, excess rubbish, soiled linen and odour removal.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.

Had a wonderful stay, everything we needed with plenty of space for a large group (great having two bathrooms). Lovely view of the lake, nice to chill on the deck with a vino after our long drive. Would happily stay again.
