Vintage River Homestay

The facilities are modern and clean. The location is quiet and authentic in that you are far from the touristic areas. However. You are really too far out from the main sites, food, restaurants and nice cafes. The balcony is beautiful but there’s no furniture to enjoy it and seat down. It’s a family home, more of an air b and b. If it’s your first time in varanasi then it’s a bit tougher.

The location was fantastic, for this price you will not find anything that is right on the Ganges with festivals etc within easy walking distance. Sanjay who manages the property was brilliant, welcoming and helpful with any requests. The room was simply furnished with a nice bathroom as per photos. It is not a hotel so breakfast is not provided but there is a small communal fridge and cosy room where you can eat your own food. Zomato deliver. It may not be 5 star but it is excellent value for money in a 5 star location. Highly recommend.

Lighter weight bedding for the warmer months - we requested a sheet instead of the duvet provided which was perfect.

la vue sur le gange est exceptionnelle et l'emplacement aussi on peut tout faire à pied. le balcon est top, pour prendre le petit déjeuner avec la vue sur le fleuve. le lit est confortable et la chambre très propre. le propriétaire est sympa et prêt à vous aider.

il faut traverser le patio d'entrée pour aller à la salle bain. le petit déjeuner est moyen et assez cher.

The view to the Ganges

The room we chose didn’t mentioned anywhere that the bathroom was outside the room and this was nos useful during nor comfortable during my stay. In general the photos in internet don’t match the real room. It is more austere, older property and small room. Further than we thought to walk the touristic places.
