I initially had a bit of trouble finding the hostel, but once I arrived, I realized it was in a great location.

It’s right next to Mountain City Alley, which turned out to be one of my favorite attractions in Chongqing. The staff were also friendly and helpful. It was a big plus that they spoke English, which made communication easy whenever I had questions or needed assistance.

The dorm room was very large. There was plenty of space next to the beds to store a backpack etc. There was a laundry option which was really affordable. Right next to the hostel there is a really nice old town, with great views on the river. Go here with sunset!

The shared rooms like the toilets and showers felt a bit outdated and were not clean all the time. Also, the hostel is a 10 minute walk to the subway, which is okay, but sometimes felt a bit long in Chongqinq’s heat.

The laundry (washer + dryer) was convenient, the location was okay, the common room was nice, the price was very affordable, the bedrooms were clean.

It is hard to find at first (it took me an hour) and when I asked for clarification, they just re-sent the same instructions. The location is okay, but the 10 minute uphill walk to the metro in the heat is long, next time I would stay closer to a metro station. The lockers and doors buzz loudly every time you open them, so I constantly felt like I was disturbing my roommates. The bathroom is shared with the entire floor, so while the cleaner did a great job in the morning, it was dirty by evening. There is nowhere clean/dry to put your things in the bathroom while you’re getting ready. The shower stalls badly need renovation - the panels are moldy and the ventilation systems are completely full of dirt and dust. Also the coffee in the common room is really bad.
