My stay at this guesthouse was a mix of beauty and challenge.
The guesthouse is located in a very old village on top of a mountain, which makes for a truly unique and peaceful setting with stunning views all around. However, getting there is definitely not for the faint-hearted. The access road is about 6 km long, narrow, winding, and has no guardrails — it climbs steeply up the mountain and the road surface is in rather poor condition. From time to time, you might even encounter wild boars on the way. That said, once you arrive, the area is wonderfully quiet and remote — a rare and beautiful place for anyone seeking solitude and breathtaking scenery.
The holiday home itself was very charming and unique — beautifully decorated and located in a lovely area. However, the hosts could have paid a bit more attention to comfort and convenience. The house had four bedrooms, each with a double bed, but every bed came with only one large duvet to share between two people. I shared a room with my friend, and honestly, sharing a duvet felt quite uncomfortable and awkward. Although there were enough bathrooms, we had to go out the next day to buy toilet paper and other hygiene products, as these were not provided in sufficient amounts. The kitchen also lacked basic supplies like dish soap, laundry detergent, and garbage bags — all of which we had to purchase ourselves. The pool area was beautiful as well, but the water was so cold that even the bravest members of our group couldn’t manage to swim. Overall, while the place was lovely and had great potential, the lack of basic amenities made the stay less convenient than expected.
