Riad Vilamoura & SPA

The riad is beautiful. Lovely, safe oasis from the hectic streets of Marrakech. Very hard to fault anything. The pool was a treat, we used it everyday. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Smail, the building manager, treated us so well, thank you. He even showed us how to pour peppermint tea in the traditional Moroccan way. The shower in my room wasn't draining properly, but it was fixed immediately.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A bit light on. Larger portions / more variety and expresso coffee would have helped. Rooftop access stairs seemed too dangerous to climb and the rooftop was too hot to use, although we were there in later spring.

If I could give this place more than 10/10, I would. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel like guests, we felt like family. The Riad itself is very beautiful, peaceful, and well located. The rooms were comfortable, always spotless, and peaceful. The breakfast was more than delicious and fresh. But what truly makes this place special is the people. The hospitality we experienced here is something I have rarely seen in my life. We were welcomed with a level of kindness and hospitality that is difficult to put into words. Everyone made us feel welcomed, cared for and genuinely at home. A very special thank you to Momo, who is one of the kindest and most incredible people we have ever met. He was always there for us, always helping, making sure we were comfortable, always welcoming us with a smile and making every day better. My grandma became very attached to him. We left with thousands of photos and beautiful memories, but also with something much more valuable, the feeling that we had found a place full of kindness. Proof that strangers can make a place feel like home. Thank you for everything. We will never forget this place and hopefully we will be back soon.
