The rental location was just as described, and was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and cozy and just our style. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our family and loved ones in a place that felt like home. We loved everything about the place, and appreciate the thoughtful details that went into the elegant décor. Will definitely stay here again when we return.
Loved the location too. There are many local coffee shops in the area that are within walking distant and dinner at Salt & Sage was so delicious and extremely convenient.
Also had a great experience using Evolve, and with the property manager. Check in was easy and hassle free, and the entire experience was great!

Our family enjoyed this apartment on the 2nd floor of an historic building. It was a large space with huge open living room/dining room/kitchen; very comfortable, well equipped and included high end appliances. The location was great, it was a short walk to Downtown Winston Salem and Old Salem, including restaurants and coffee shops. Great, prompt communication with the host. It was perfect for a week long stay.

We've stayed at a lot of short term and long term airbnbs, first time at a Evolve property. Here's our thoughts.
+ The property was very clean
+ Lots of room to spread out and very spacious - looks just like the photos
+ Excellent location and parking onsite - a big plus staying close to downtown as most of the hotels do not have onsite parking
Main, but fixable, issue.
- All the bed sheets and towels had a very strong smell of dryer sheets/fabric softener. It was so heavy that we tried to cover the pillows with our clothes to try to sleep. The bed clothes we wore are still so heavily saturated with the smell after returning home and being washed several times that we still can't use them. There is a reason why hotels and other bnbs we've stayed in do not use any fabric softeners or very scented detergents. They infuse into fabrics and have a strong smell. While neither of us are fragrance sensitive, the smell was overwhelming. We tried to find other sheets to use but all had a heavy smell as did the towels.
Observations
- The main bedroom is massive as is the bathroom. It would be nice to have a king size bed in here for a couple.
- The back bedroom is a bit cramped but fine and a queen in here would expand the sleeping options. The mattress was a bit old and lumpy.
- This was not a listed amenity so no points off, but all of the airbnbs where we have stayed have coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. We luckily bought coffee with us but it would be nice, especially with such a massive kitchen (we didn't cook in it) to have just a few things , especially coffee.
- A few of the light bulbs in the second bed and bath did not work.
- You can hear street noise at times, but it is a city place and wasn't terribly bothersome.
