This is one of the best places to stay near Kandy.The area is very safe,even for a single woman,which made me feel very comfortable.It is only a 15 minute walk to Kandy city, so the location is perfect.The room was very clean and well maintained.The host was extremely friendly and helpful. He even arranged a taxi to Sigiriya for a very low price, which was very convenient.I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kandy. ⭐😊

The owner, Shavin, went above and beyond to help me out during my stay. From early check in to arranging last minute and lengthy transportation, he alone made the stay worthwhile. Such a friendly person and I'm so grateful to him for his assistance. The room was a solid value, checkin was super easy, the bed was very comfortable, and the wifi was above average (compared to other accommodations within Sri Lanka). The location is up on the hill out of town meaning that it's very quiet and peaceful. I felt safe walking around and felt save leaving my belongings. The AC was ice cold. It's a bit of a trek to/from the center, but PickMe worked well and only cost a dollar or two each way.

The only downside is that if people are using the shared space/living room and are inconsiderate, it can be quite loud. During my stay there were 2 groups of early 20s who were not considerate of others and will very likely not be your experience. Even with earplugs, I was unable to fully drown them out - even at later commonly accepted quiet hours.
