Absolutely beautiful and clean home loaded with indoor and outdoor games for the whole family. A perfect gathering place with so many extras and things not normally found in a rental home. The only thing missing was a recycling bin but that certainly did not take away from a wonderful time! Thank you :)

6 of us from 3 families and our Golden Retriever made this our launching point for hiking, kayaking and disc golf. It was very roomy, clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen. Large fenced yard wss great for our dog. Definitely would stay here again .

This is the second year in a row we've stayed at the Calpine Mountain Retreat, and we hope to be back next year as well. The house is perfect for our family of five with all of the creature comforts of home – high speed internet, a modern kitchen, cozy furnishings, deck with gas grill, and lots of games for the kids.
We have family in the area so the cabin has been a perfect home base while we spend time in Graeagle or Salmon Lake, or visiting Sierraville or Truckee. In addition to providing a wonderful home, Mark is a fantastic and responsive host. We're already looking forward to next year!

The house and amenities exceeded our expectations 😁👏 ! The property is well maintained. We were 2 couples and a father & son (recovering from a car accident).
The rooms were comfortable and spaced out so we had some privacy. Plenty of space for the wheelchair to maneuver. Since all of us but the son was over 60, we really appreciated it being a single story. The house size was perfect; we didn't feel crowded at all.
It was a joy to spend time in the kitchen cooking for 8 or 9 people each evening (a few friends over for dinner). The kitchen was outfitted very well and was large. All the tools we needed to cook, grill, bake were available. And there is a fridge in the garage for extra food and drinks.
The deck was a great spot in the morning for coffee, solitude, and nature, as well as an evening bbq. The guys found the cornhole game and spent several hours in fun competition. We did have a dog in the party so the fenced yard was a blessing.
We were there for a weekend golf tournament. There are at least 4 great golf courses within 30 minutes of the house. Easy drive to some beautiful hikes and lakes too.
We're hoping they have golf tournaments up there more often so we can stay at this beautiful house.
Such a relaxing stay. So much better than most VRBO/AirBnB experiences we've had.

Note: Verizon cell service works but AT&T was spotty at best. But the house wifi works well.
