About this house rental
Your fall color vacation is ready for you at our charming cottage in Lawton MI. 3 bedrooms, including 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed and a sleeper sofa makes this a retreat perfect for families or groups of friends. The Southwest Michigan Wine Trail runs right through our backyard and St Julian is a short 20 minute drive! We include 2 kayaks and a paddleboard for your enjoyment. If you’re planning to bring your boat you may tie up to our pier! We are right next door to the public access for easy unloading and loading of your boat. If you would like to use our pontoon let us know and we can make the arrangements. We still get a lot of beautiful weather in September and October. With the pontoon boat and a cozy blanket you can take in all the views the lake has to offer! We have a huge patio for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We supply beach/swimming floats & chairs, toys, games and activities for the kids. We are 2 hours north east of Chicago and 2.5 hours south west of Detroit. Lake Michigan beaches are 45 minutes away! The grape vineyards smell amazing in Sept-Oct along with the beautiful changing leaves.

The cottage at Gravel Lake fit our needs. It was lacking in some things and could use some replacing of window blinds and organization of kitchen utensils.

Typical lake cottage, cute and cozy. We stayed in the winter, so we didn't get to enjoy the lake and outside decks. There is a small slope from the parking pad to the sidewalk on the side of the house which could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Overall very nice place, great location, and great hosts!

We enjoyed a quiet weekend, just as we’d hoped. There was a minor glitch, which our host responded to immediately and had fixed in a half hour. The space is on the older side and there was no dishwasher nor hair dryer. I honestly didn’t mind very much, but for these prices I think people should be aware.
