Hotel Rural Casamarilla

I almost didn’t want to leave a review because part of me would love to keep this place a secret so we can come back and book it again ourselves… but Maria truly deserves the very best review. Casa Amarillo in Garachico is an absolutely magical place to stay. The house sits in the middle of a working banana plantation, which makes the whole experience feel incredibly peaceful and authentic. Waking up surrounded by banana trees and beautiful scenery is something really special, and the historic colonial house itself is stunning – full of charm, history and beautiful details. Our host, Maria, was wonderful. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious – beautifully prepared, generous and a little bit fancy, turning every morning into a lovely experience rather than just a meal. What we loved most is how different this part of Tenerife feels compared with the busy, commercial south of the island. Garachico is calm, historic and full of character. Staying here feels like discovering the real Tenerife, far away from the typical tourist resorts. Everything about our stay felt peaceful, elegant and truly special. Casa Amarillo is a real gem, and Maria is a fantastic host. We would return in a heartbeat.

A nice historic house located in a banana farm in NW Tenerife. Nice and quiet, very comfy. Awesome breakfast and great service. You will need a car to get here and travel around the area. You can go easily to local villages, the beach, Garachico, Teno hike, etc. Would recommend this to friends.
