We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast and coffee is perfect in the morning. The rooms were good for our large family (we had two rooms with 3 beds each) and the area is very walkable. It’s about a 14 min walk to the beach (with my slower children) and a 10 min taxi into Chania. There is also a bus to take you to town and some of the other beaches that stops nearby but we didn’t do it because of elders in our group. There is a taverna around the corner that was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again if we return to Crete.

A great place to stay! Friendly staff, very clean, quiet and well priced. Beach, supermarkets and restaurants just a short walk away with regular buses to Chania

Our stay was very pleasant and convenient. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. George and his family and staff treated us extremely well and we enjoyed our visit very much.

Room was clean and comfortable, beautiful pool, definitely need a car if you stay here as it is out of the way from everything. Did have issues with appliances not working which i informed hotel staff and nothing was done and kitchen doesn’t have many appliances i.e toaster or microwave. Balcony door lock was also tricky and hard to get locked. Overall stay was fine
