Stunning, peaceful location with incredible views. The host was friendly and helpful—he arranged a great fishing trip with a local and shared his WhatsApp for anything we needed. He also arranged to pick us up from the pier on arrival. One thing we wished we knew prior to booking is to be aware that wildlife is part of the experience. Expect large and small geckos (and droppings), ants, millipedes etc inside the villa. Our only major issue was upon checkout when we had requested the return transfer at 6:15 for our 7am ferry, however the driver didn’t show up and we nearly missed our ferry (host later said the driver was unwell). Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay and we really appreciated the island’s rich wildlife—but given the price, we had expected a bit less of it inside the villa and not as outdated.

Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay.

We had an amazing stay at The Place. It was truly home from home. We were picked up at the ferry terminal and when we left dropped off, we were really well looked after. The villa was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a really informative induction to the facility. The views are stunning, the best sunsets. The pool was clean, we often didn’t leave the site, we were there for 11 days and I could’ve stayed much longer. Trips were organised for us. The walk into town was about 10 minutes, and you are out of the noise but still within walking distance. I felt quite emotional leaving it was just wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the housekeeping exceptional. We had just the right amount of privacy. Keep doing what you do, just perfect.

This place is perfect for a couple wanting to relax and retreat but also want to explore the beautiful island of Koh Tao. The pool view was magical. They gave us such great restaurant recommendations and made us feel so comfortable to reach out with any questions. The only thing to note is that it does has several steep steps to access the villas. 10/10 and will likely stay here again when we visit next time! Thank you guys!

This stay was a dream. All the villas have private pools and kitchens. The bed was superb and the villa fantastic. You have a great degree of privacy and cannot see into the other villas. The owner Guy was very nice, great communication and arranged ferry tickets, snorkeling tour, and motor scooter all payable at the end of the stay. Highly recommend this place!

This is our second time at The Place and it’s just as amazing as we remember. The view out to the coast is spectacular and they’ve thought of everything, lots of space, comfortable beds, well stocked fridge.

This property is amazing, and they have thought of almost everything. I wish in the pictures or description they had included how steep and inaccessible the rooms were if you have any issues climbing. The stairs are very tall and steep and mostly no railings. I had to leave after the first day because I could not get in and out of my room. Please be aware this is only for very fit people. I would never have booked this had I any idea. I paid for four nights and could only stay one, it was beyond disappointing. I am an experienced traveler and watch carefully for these issues and there was no photos or warning about this site.

The villa and it's privacy was very nice. The own pool was great and views from the terrace to the sea and the mountains were fabulous. The owner, Guy, was very helpfull. You can drink filtered water from the separate tap, which is a good idea for nature, but might not be possible if you have a sensitive stomach. Food deliveries from the chosen restaurants worked well. Special thanks to the Mr. Bear Taxi service which worked extremely well any time (including New Years Eve)! My husband and I spent 4 amazing days in Koh Tao at the place, it was just the most amazing place, the team could not do enough for us, the villas are stunning with the most amazing views, a quiet and stunning place to stay. Would recommend !

We were welcomed at the ferry pier and taken to the hotel and quickly shown to our room. We had a very detailed tour and guidance of where to find things on the island. The hotel looks far from the beach on the map but its less than 1km and was nice and quiet to stay. Recommend 100%

We took some pictures of the Villa and they look a lot like the stock photos. We stayed in Villa #1 during our stay and found the staff to be responsive and available. The staff was helpful, pre-stay, in booking our private dining at our villa for our second day. They also helped us arrange a snorkeling outing and, although weather prevented us from going before we had to leave, they communicated as the booking was confirmed and then canceled due to weather. When you check in to the property, you're going to get a book of their "Diversions" (which are the things they can help you book), an old Nokia-style cell phone with some numbers pre-programmed that they'll use to communicate with you during your stay, and a number of take-out menus. For us, this was one of the first times we saw a large number of restaurants with western style food during the trip. We particularly enjoyed "Hippo Burger Bistro" during our stay. Interestingly, most restaurants knew where we were just because we called from our pre-programmed cell phones. This was super convenient, but made for an awkward beginning to each phone call as they were awaiting our order and we were explaining where we were. The pool looks small in the photos, but it's large enough to actually get in and do a little bit of light wading. I particularly recommend this during the early evening. All-in-all, a five star vacation and the wife is already talking about visiting again as part of a girls' trip.

We couldn't be happier, Each villa is private, you get your own door and a beautiful sign with both your names, as soon as you walk in you're like wow... Our villa was spotless, clean, modern yet a bit rustic and romantic, you can literally stay here all day, step into the bathroom and it's like you're outside in a forest. The space is really big, huge bed, living room, kitchen, big bathroom with rain shower head and a glass top, place have privacy glass, nobody can't see inside (even though no one can enter your place), it also has black out curtains, it has everything you need, an Iron, a power source to plug your electronics if you forget you 220v charger, I mean all the little touches. They also provide you with a cell phone to use while in Koh Tao. Of course the best part is the infinity pool all to yourself, they have two shapes, a rectangular and heart shape one, we stayed in the heart shape and it was just beautiful, calming and relaxing. Breakfast is not included but they give you a basket for you to eat and cook (ours supplies lasted us more than two days), it's a nice touch and they have other stuff in the fridge or counter that you can buy, water is filtered and unlimited. Service was great from the moment we reserved, they kept in contact with us and picked us up at the port once we arrived in the ferry and helped booked a ferry for when we were leaving, they have bikes available for free. Overall The Place was amazing and so Romantic.

This place was THE best for my wife and I, so much so that we extended our stay an extra night. It felt like we had our very own apartment, with an extraordinary view. The only small hiccup is the distance from town (which isn’t very far, just up a steep hill) which makes it not very walkable, but they were very courteous to rent us a motorbike for a very competitive rate. The taxis get expensive, so if you are comfortable on a motorbike, and going up and down wet hills, I highly recommend it. The food options, although not cooked on premises, are vast and very good. Many options of restaurants deliver right to your door! They were all very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!! Great for a honeymoon or romantic getaway.

Extremely beautiful resort! We enjoyed relaxing in the private villa in jungle treetops watching the sunset (great sunset views) while dipping in our very own pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unforgettable stay! Loved it!
