Captain Sawyer's Bed & Breakfast

Very nice place Great location both Keith and Kira where very nice and accommodating

Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful! The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby. A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros and posette - incredible! ...The kitchen is down the hall from the rooms so if you wish there are opportunities for social time. The only thing that I'd recommend as a future update - as with many stately old New England homes, the bathroom could use a refresh - including some new caulking.

Comfortable bed, walkable, free parking, good breakfast, but the hosts were the best part.

Captain Sawyers is an historic bed and breakfast in Booth Bay Harbor. The owners are a wonderful couple who aim to please. The property has its limitations since it is very old but that is what gives it its charm. The breakfast were delicious and varied. The baked goods were creative and greatly appreciated. The stairs up to our room were very steep but expect for a home built in the 1800’s. Keith was gracious in offering to bring our heavier bags up the stairs (and back down). We loved the 2nd floor balcony complete with Adirondack chairs and a great view of the harbor. The rooms were small but the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was also small but adequate. The property is at the edge of downtown but very close to all of the activity. It is steps from the harbor, restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend Captain Sawyer’s Bed and Breakfast.
