Charming house surrounded by lavender fields - 638 BON

Area: You’ll be staying 1 km from the famous Pont Julien, one of the best-preserved Roman bridges in France, dating back to 3 B.C. The bridge was part of the Via Domitia. Today, the Calavon Bicycle Route (Véloroute du Cavalon) crosses the bridge. Other notable attractions include the ochre quarries of Roussillon (5 km) and the Marquis de Sade’s castle in Lacoste (4 km).

Garden and Grounds
The house is located on a small country road leading to one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. A large front garden is located in front of the house, offering breathtaking views of Bonnieux, Lacoste, and vast fields of lavender (all photos taken from the property looking north toward Mt. Ventoux, west toward Lacoste, and south and east). Here you can enjoy breakfast in the shade of a plane tree. On the other side of the house, sheltered from view, you’ll find a landscaped garden with an old olive tree, a saltwater pool (8x4m, depth 1.50m, heated during the shoulder season), and a large covered terrace. The rear garden is bordered by a partly ochre-colored, wooded rocky backdrop and a stone wall.

The Property
Ground Floor
The first floor consists of a small dining room located right next to the fully equipped kitchen. A large, bright living room with high ceilings and a beautiful fireplace, a dining table for 6 people, and a comfortable leather sofa is also located on this level. Each room is separated by 1–2 steps.

First Floor
When you go up the stairs in the living room, you’ll come to a mezzanine that overlooks the living area, which features a sofa and armchairs, a TV, and a Blu-ray player.
To the left of the mezzanine is the first bedroom with a double bed and an adjoining bathroom (shower and toilet). A second bedroom is located in the extension of this first bedroom (a door connects the two bedrooms, but each bedroom has its own entrance, so it is not a walk-through and can be used separately). When you walk through this second bedroom with a double bed, you’ll come to a second staircase that leads down to the entrance of the house. To the right of the staircase is the third bedroom, also with a double bed, and diagonally across from the two bedrooms is a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet.

Good to Know
You can park your car on the property. You can do your daily shopping in Bonnieux. The nearest large supermarket is in Apt, about 8 km from your vacation home.
