Sigasiga Sands Boutique Bungalows

Stayed in the Obana, which as explained is TINY. But as solo traveler it was fine. I spent most of my time on the porch and loved that there was a fan and sun shades on 3 sides which I used to block the monsoon rains and still allowed me to be on the porch. The little bungalow was very clean. The beach is not a sandy paradise, not great for swimming but you can walk down the beach to the lagoon. I spent my time scuba diving, I didn’t need much more water time.I rarely to never watch Television, but I was so happy there was Netflix when absolutely poured rain all day and night. I used one the bikes, it definitely needs some love, but is basically worked. The grounds very well maintained and lovely. The staff very pleasant and very responsive to any needs. It’s bit far from town but enjoyed taking the local bus. The taxi driver, Bablu the hotel uses is a gem. He was so helpful. He saved the day for me when I was having great difficulty reaching someone on the island

We had a lovely week at Sigasiga resort in the cozy Ohana Bure close to the beach. Well cared for grounds, meals delivered to the door. Subash and his wife Sunita took excellent care of us. It's a taxi or unreliable bus trip into Suvasuva for supplies.

Property is very peaceful and quiet. Can walk the the whole beach and never see anyone else. Beach is beautiful but not great for swimming during low tide. Good snorkeling out at the reef but probably about a 500m walk during low tide and pretty rough water while we were there; water shoes are a must! We stayed in one of their newer bungalows which was very clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much to do in the area but relax, however town is only about a 10-15min taxi ride away. Food was decent and affordable but would highly recommend checking out the Island Grill in Savusavu for a meal. Overall a nice place to chill and relax or a good home base for exploring other parts of the island.

This was a great place to use as a base for exploring the southern region of Vanua Levu. My bure (hut) had a complete kitchen and a good-sized living area. The resort is on the beach, although swimming there only works at high tide (there is a separate swimming lagoon available). There is snorkeling once you get to a dropoff a ways off the beach. While the hotel doesn't have a stand-alone restaurant, they will bring local-style meals direct to your bure if ordered in advance. Gene, the genial host, has plans to expand the place, but at this point there is a very intimate feeling to the small resort.
