Single Old Town Room

The location is amazing if you want to browse the old town streets and the fortress as you are in the very heart of the old town. If you are looking for a peaceful stay this is not for you though. You will be surrounded by main sites but also by restaurants, sellers, tourists, delivery trucks, cleaners revelers :). I think one could write a book just by watching all the ppl passing by from the little balcony - especially in peak season. But this is the price you pay to be close to everything and able to check out main Rethymno sites in a few days. I really appreciated that after visiting the fortress I could go back to accommodation to relax and shower, or to bring back my shopping before going to the beach which is also really close or to change clothes.... The room is clean and has everything you need. You get two towels, bed linen, toiletries, coffee. You can also use the communal kitchen and the fridge. There are only a few rooms so I never saw anyone cooking really. The hosts are amazing, warmhearted and welcoming. If you need smith they will provide it. I asked for a hairdryer and got it.

The room is charming but old - as described and as in pictures but I did not mind it as everything was functional. You have everything you need. The AC is awkwardly positioned so I swapped the position of bed and table and it was much better like that. AC is noisy as well so if you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs. However, it actually worked as a white noise for me canceling the noise from the outside. I had to keep it on and close the balcony door bcs it was really hot and noisy outside, but I knew where I was coming so I was ready. I think I saw some boxes for new AC so this might improve in the future ;)

I loved the whole house. I'm an introvert but somehow I felt like living with a family, the other tenants were so nice and did I say I loved the whole house? It has a good atmosphere. And the location is perfect.

The rooms are different and some are quite basic. Very basic, I might say. But somehow it does not matter because the house is so nice. The central yard - sort of - near the communal kitchen, and the washing machine, and the roof with plenty of room to just hang out or practice to play lira (like I did), everything just felt like a home.

Logement très agréable, bien situé, propre et confortable. Personnel d'accueil sympathique et arrangeant. Je recommande vivement.

Logement très agréable avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour de toute durée et très bien situé. Vue magnifique sur l'ancienne mosquée depuis le petit balcon. Personnel très agréable et arrangeant pour la remise des clés et le fait d'avoir pu laisser mon bagage quelques heures avant de quitter le lieu.
