The room was really spacious and the details were beautifully restored, with a vaulted ceiling and centuries old tiles. We enjoyed the two private balconies, both with sea views, and the location is right in the middle of the old town. The breakfast was nice, with both sweet and savory options, much more than the standard continental breakfast. The pictures are accurate.
We didn't have a functioning air condition for two out of four nights, and it was very hot at the time. We let them know the first evening, they responded quickly and called someone to fix it the next morning. We were then told it was working, but it was not. We spent quite some time trying to convince them that it still wasn't working, but it took two nights before someone actually checked the unit in the room. Apparently, the filter needed changing, because after that it was working great. They were polite and responded quickly, but it was very frustrating being told it was fine when it clearly wasn't. Because there was almost no airflow, the room also got quite humid. Perhaps it was the technician that didn't do his job, but they could have ensured he checked the unit in our room. No compensation was offered. Without this issue, I think our stay would have been really good.
Although quite spacious, we found the bed to be very firm, but that is a very subjective opinion and other people might like it that way.
The bathroom is not fully enclosed, it has an open ceiling. Maybe to maintain the beautiful ceiling, but it is not very private.
