Great place to stay away from the chaos of Ubud centre

The place is absolutely gorgeous, from the entrance, to the rooms, to the pool facing the jungle! To make it even better is the service: attentive, genuine and always with a smile, thank you to every member of staff who made our two days at Gandatera an oasis of relax 😌 from the chef cooking our meal to the people taking care of our room and welcoming us back to the hotel every time with a smile and a nice chat. We loved the quietness of the hotel and the proximity to the centre: just a 7-10min ride by motorbike. The rooms are very comfortable with fridge and free water and fresh towels everyday if you need. Would definitely book it again for a stay in Ubud!

With minor improvements this place would have a 10 from me. Mosquito net and aircon was lifesaving.

Although the hotel is in busy Ubud, I enjoyed the serenity, the privacy and jungle feel. The infinity pool was great for cooling off even when it rains. The staff was friendly, discreet and very respectful.

I didn’t much like the surrounding area wasn’t much of a walk wa round neighbourhood. Thought they could’ve been a bit more generous with the breakfast and ice in the juices; by the time the jive gets to the table it’s already room temperature and isn’t help much in the heat and humidity. Wish there was a window in the bathroom and hot water didn’t runout so quickly. . Lack of windows means moulding and smells. But otherwise our stay was wonderful 🌼

Very clean , light bright property. Welcoming staff always happy to provide information and help if required. The pool was clean and breakfast tasty.

To access property , pool area and breakfast area you need climb steep steps . The area is remote and no dining facilities unless you travel.

The property was stunning! So clean, so calm and peaceful. The staff were so friendly also! They surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday when I hadn’t mentioned anything. It was a lovely way to spend my birthday away from home.

Perhaps the location, it was a little far out of anything close by. But honestly still close enough to get a grab scooter into town. So the location was a very minor downside.

The best hotel in Ubud

I had a truly incredible stay at Gandatera. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with clean and charming facilities, a great pool, and a peaceful atmosphere that made everything even more enjoyable. The room was super comfortable, and the whole place felt welcoming and relaxing. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the staff — they are simply exceptional! Every single person we met was extremely kind, polite, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Always ready to assist with anything we needed, and always with a smile. You can tell they are hat workers, dedicated, and love what they do. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home. I couldn’t recommend this place more — thank you for such a perfect stay!

Great place to stay when visiting Ubud

Clean, comfortable, good location, far enough out of town to be calm and quiet, but close enough to be easily accessible by Grab Bike, good breakfast, lovely pool, pretty gardens and very good value - nothing not to like!

My peaceful getaway during a long term stay in Ubud. Remarkably new a clean, and friendly staff.

I was worried about booking a long term stay in a place that would end up being moldy, as Bali is notorious for. This place was sparkling clean and is also a very new property. No mold. Staff is delightfully helpful. The location, despite being outside the city a bit, is actually one of the reasons for this review. It is quiet, peaceful, and in the heart of the jungle. The jungle view directly from the infinity pool area was just picturesque. The city, for all it is worth, is noisy and smells of exhaust fumes. None of that up here in Gandatera. The hotel is a 6 minute “Grab Taxi” ride into the center of town. The room was comfortable and clean, although only one wall has a large sliding door to let in sunlight. The other walls all don’t have windows.

Amazing stay!

absolutely loved everything about my stay! The property is stunning, with beautiful buildings and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Walking through the family’s gorgeous home before entering the accommodation added such a special touch. The staff were incredible—genuinely kind, always smiling, and incredibly helpful. Ari, in particular, went above and beyond to make the experience even better. I felt so at home, safe, and well taken care of. There wasn’t a single negative thing to say. I can’t wait to return! This place is truly amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Rustig verblijf in het regenwoud

Kleine compacte kamer en van alles voorzien , ligt buiten de drukte van Ubud, houd rekening mee met taxi of huur motor scooter voor als je weg wilt van de accomodatie. Vriendelijk personeel en staan altijd voor je klaar om dingen te regelen , bij de buren Dekada house verzorgen ze ook een cooking class voor de liefhebbers .

Geen service qua verkoop drankjes en avond eten , ontbijt daarentegen is goed .

Todo perfecto. El personal del hotel siempre amable y muy agradable, la habitación comoda y grande. El desayuno espectacular, de los mejores que he comido en bali y el sitio del desayuno un 10. Es verdad que necesitas transporte para ir al centro de ubud, pero es una gran ventaja tener este sitio de paz tan cerca de ubud, sin tener el caos del mismo. Repetiría, 100% recomendado.

Mooi homestay verblijf. Prachtige binnenplaats met familie tempel. Heerlijk zwembad met uitzicht op jungle. Super lieve mensen, heel hulpvaardig en elke dag schoonmaak. Ontbijtje ‘s morgens was ook prima.

Best ver van Ubud centrum en alle bezienswaardigheden. In de omgeving weinig te doen. De basic kamers hadden geen comfortabele stoelen om met zijn allen bij elkaar te zitten. Dus dan ben je steeds op je kamer. Naast het ontbijt geen andere faciliteiten om wat te nuttigen ter plekke

C’est un excellent petit endroit pour séjourner. Le personnel est incroyablement gentil, et bien que le petit-déjeuner soit toujours le même, il est excellent ! Les chambres sont nettoyées chaque matin, et l’emplacement dans le temple familial est formidable et immersif. La piscine est propre, entretenue tous les matins, comme je l’ai vu à 7h pour le petit-déjeuner matinal. Je le recommande vivement !

Peut-être plus de choix dans les oreillers, car ils étaient dur et j’avais du mal à dormir avec

Super schöne Unterkunft

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt: direkt neben Ubud, aber durch die Lage am Hügel herrlich ruhig und idyllisch. Das Gelände ist traditionell angelegt und sogar mit einem eigenen Tempel versehen - dahinter befinden sich die modernen Neubauten, in denen die einzelnen Zimmer sind. Die Zimmer sind modern, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Besonders schön fanden wir den Pool mit Blick ins Grüne - einfach traumhaft. Auch das Frühstück war köstlich :) Das gesamte Team war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns jederzeit willkommen gefühlt haben. Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt und kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Cet endroit mérite vraiment le détour. Le personnel est toujours à l'écoute, prêt à vous aider, vous conseiller... L'hôtel est un peu éloigné du centre quand on ne possède de moyen de locomotion mais rien d'insurmontable. Le cadre est superbe avec piscine à débordement donnant sur la jungle. La chambre est toujours très propre et la literie parfaite. Quoi demander de plus.

În imaginile de prezentare de pe booking îți arată o cameră mare, frumoasă , spațioasă ca și cum asta ar fi camera pe care o închiriezi la prețul arătat. De fapt mai există o altă cameră , total diferită, care apare doar dacă ești foarte atent. E posibil să fi fost și greșeala mea , dar anunțul este totuși un pic păcălitor.

l'hôtel est magnifique dans un quartier un peu éloigné. Un magnifique complexe dans une maison balinaise typique. le calme, le personnel aux petits soins, un équipement de première qualité, une très belle piscine

les restaurants assez éloignés, une ville qui ne présente aucun intérêt pour avoir été trop exploitée. Passez votre chemin, rien à voir à Ubud à part les embouteilages

Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta ja kauniit huoneet. Kaunis uima-allas. Hyvä palvelu. Sijainti linnun reittiä lähellä keskustaa.

Sijainti oli heikko ruuhkaisen tien vuoksi. Suurin osa ravintoloista sijaitsi keskustassa, jonne matka kesti skootterilla ruuhkasta riippuen. Aamiainen oli hyvä, mutta koska hotelli on pieni, aamiainen tilattiin menulta, jonka vuoksi koko rahoitettu ellei halunnut maksaa extra hintaa extra annoksesta.

Net buiten het centrum waardoor je taxi nodig hebt om je te verplaatsen. Wij vonden dit geen probleem maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden

Onovertrefbaar prijs kwaliteit.

Gandatera is een oase van rust en slechts 2 km verwijderd van het hectische Ubud. Het personeel is over de ganse lijn extreem vriendelijk én gedienstig en zijn altijd geïnteresseerd. Het hotelletje bevind zich in een tempel maar is strak en modern met een mooie infinity pool. De kamers zijn mooi van design met waterkoker, koelkast en airco. Eén en al rust. Dit is prijs kwaliteit onklopbaar. Ben je opzoek naar wat luxe maar ben je gebudgetteerd, twijfel geen moment want beter ga je niet vinden.

Om dit hotelletje helemaal af te maken 2 suggesties: Voorzie een nachtkastje en een sfeerlamp, nu zijn er 4 spots dus overdreven veel licht of pikkedonker 😅

понравилось расположение, в тихом переулке, в 3мин на байке от главной улицы Убуда. Территория отеля большая и ухоженная, очень тихо, хороший бассейн с видом на джунгли, вкусные завтраки, персонал очень дружелюбный, всегда помогали с доставками или вызовом такси, спасибо им большое за все!
