Homely 2 bedroom flat near Tower Bridge

This place was good value for money. It is very clean and has an excellent location, we (two women) felt safe in the area too, even if it was on the ground floor. There is a Sainsbury’s close and the Roebuck Pub had decent Burgers too. Lots of bus lines nearby and the nearest metro is a 10 minute walk. The beds were not the best beds in the world but they were totally fine for us. We brought our own pillows cause of other reviews but there were actually four pillows per bed. Yes the couch and pots / pans were a bit worn out, but we could live in that. The rest was pretty well equipped, even an iron, ironing board and hairdryer were available. All in all we thought it was an excellent place at a good price for London standards.

After booking we received several messages from the property that we need to pay a damage deposit. It was a bit irritating as we did not know this in advance and why do we book through booking.com if there are extra costs. They kept the deposit as a cold on the card. However, there was a 12£ non-refundable fee when setting up the damage deposit, which we really did not appreciate. Again, something that was not communicated in the booking process.

Awesome location, great facilities, quick communication with the unit's management, and comfortable accommodation.

No hot water for the full duration of our stay, resulting in us having to deal with either a cold shower or sponge down. Management's attempts at fixing the problem started off really well, but then turned Lukewarm (pardon the pun) when the issue was not resolved, and we complained again 😉
