Spacious London Bridge Flat

Es muy espacioso, 4 amigos y estuvimos genial, cerca del metro y un Tesco 24 h. cerca, genial!

Hizo mucha calor, no están acostumbrados, y no hay aire acondicionado, pero nos dejo varios ventiladores.

Gleich vorweg: Alles ist genau so wie auf den Bildern zu sehen und der Gastgeber Nick ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und über Mail oder Telefon erreichbar. Perfekte Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden (zu Fuß: Tower-Bridge/London Eye/St. Paul’s Cathedral ca. 35 Minuten). Eine Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor der Wohnung und der wunderschöne Pub THE ROEBUCK ist ein paar Meter weiter, ebenso ein kleiner Supermarkt. In der 5 Minuten entfernten Borough-Street gibt es jede Menge an stimmungsvollen Pubs, Geschäfte und den Borough-Food-Market (Montags geschlossen). Die Verkehrsanbindung dort ist perfekt (Busse/U-Bahn).

Das Selbournehouse, in dem die Wohnung liegt, macht besonders auf der Rückseite keinen guten Eindruck und ist außen wie innen sanierungsbedürftig. Umso größer ist die Überraschung, wenn man die Wohnung betritt. Die Great Dover Street ist auch nachts laut.

Proximity to all the attractions for a first time tourist to London was key to this choice in location, despite the older, run down feel to the neighbourhood.

Not really a dislike, more advanced notice to others, the apartment is up 3 flights of stairs so be prepared to lug your suitcase up. That said, once you step through the front door, that’s soon forgotten.

We liked the apartment, it was spacious and it had all the amenities like dishwasher, washing machine with dryer etc. The location was also pretty central, walking distance from train stations.

We weren't aware that this property was in a former public housing building complex. When we got to the location of the property initially, we were a bit surprised, but the interiors of the flat really won us over.
