Sujet Hotel Da Nang By Haviland

The staff at Sujet - Tien, Muoi, Sinh, Linh and Ty are welcoming and provide excellent service. The place is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with useful amenities such as a microwave and kitchen sink. The bathrooms are clean and cleaned daily. Its convenient location makes it easy to get around on foot and go to nearby places. With reasonable prices and well-equipped facilities, it offers great value for money. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator, but overall, it is a great place to stay and highly recommended.

The room was exactly like the pictures can't fault them for that which is the main thing I worry about when booking for Vietnam. The room I booked also had dishes and knives and forks and such which was a huge help in fact everything about this place was pretty good nothing that I'd say stood out as bad room was clean minor marks on some walls but clean where it matter bed sheets perfect and daily cleaning. The staff were also amazing happy to help me with any needs I had.

The location isn’t right in central Da Nang, but there are plenty of nearby restaurants, cafés, and salons. The staff are friendly, accommodating and speak English well, making communication easy.

I stayed here two nights, from 16th to 18th August 2026. The location is not central, yet it's not too far from the busy areas of Da Nang either, for example it's a 15-minute walk from the Dragon Bridge and a 20-minute walk from the Han Market or the Pink Cathedral, for some reason however it feels a bit further from everything else, maybe it's because Da Nang is fairly spread out. It is located in a short and narrow alleyway (Nguyen Truong To) and therefore rather quiet. One side of the alleyway (stepping out of the hotel and going left), leads into a very “local” non-touristy area of Da Nang, which I actually found quite interesting and more authentic Vietnamese (although it might not be for everybody), with overall costs for everything even lower than elsewhere. My room was the 201. It had a small Juliet-style balcony, it was pleasant to have it but even without, it'd have made little difference as there's virtually no view outside. It was clean to a decent standard, although there were some small cobwebs in the ceiling corners. The bed was comfortable, the aircon was working fine, there was also a fan on the ceiling in the centre of the room. No safety box. TV with satellite (YouTube) and a streaming service called TV360 with Vietnamese movies and Vietnamese subtitles only, therefore useless for non-Vietnamese. The bathroom had a big shower with half glass covering it (so when you shower, the water splashes inevitably go everywhere) and toilet. The sink is very inconveniently located in the bedroom. It should ideally be fitted with a light as (for men) it was difficult to shave without, even with the ceiling light switched on. The cold water from the shower and from the sink was actually coming out lukewarm, it was not possible to take a fresh shower. No hooks anywhere to hang towels. During the 1st night, I could hear a buzzing sound from my TV, although it was off, I went down to reception and asked the man to come and have a look, it turned out that the sounds were from the TV from the room next door, just beyond the dividing wall, the receptionist knocked on the other door and asked them to turn the volume down, it seemed the dividing walls are quite thin. The fridge wasn't working, this is not acceptable as you do need to have some cold drinks with you for the Vietnam heat, I reported it to reception. There is a drinkable water dispenser by the reception, with 'fresh' water. There is no lift in the building. There were no cups/mugs anywhere in the room (and not even in the hotel lobby) for tea/coffee, only glasses. The hotel doesn't even have the classic signs 'Make the room/Do not disturb' that you can find anywhere else. There are some dorm rooms on the ground floor, this therefore also functions as a hostel. Reception is open 24h, which is a big pro, the receptionists were all kind / easy to deal with. Would I stay here again? Unfortunately not, too many simple things missing or not working, but don't get me wrong, overall it wasn't too bad and I stayed in much worse places. P.S. There are a few hotels in Da Nang with the word ´Sujet´ in the name, for this one in Google Maps you need to search for 'Sujet Da Nang', hit enter, scroll down and select 'Sujet Hotel Da Nang', on the actual map it's coming up as 'Sujet Hotel Da Nang by Haviland´, while the hotel entrance sign says 'Sujet Made by Haviland'.
