Lovely cottage, clean, beautiful views, hot tub, very comfortable bed infact everything you need for a relaxed stay.

There was nothing not to like

Everything!! It is private, so peaceful and in such a stunning location with beautiful views. We had read all the wonderful reviews so knew it was going to be amazing, but it really was lovely and exceeded expectations. The property has everything you could need, everything had been thought about and the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and crockery you could want. I was a little worried about the sofas not being comfy as a couple of people had mentioned this in previous reviews, and to look at the photos they don’t look particularly ‘cosy’. What we didn’t realise and found out by accident is that they’re reclining sofas - what a treat this was!! They are really comfortable & perfect for relaxing in front of the tv watching a film, which is exactly what we did. I can only imagine that previous visitors didn’t realise they recline. The hot tub was such a wonderful addition also, so relaxing with some very powerful jets! The gardens are absolutely stunning, from someone who loves gardening I was in awe at the variety and how well kept it all was. The deck chairs were perfect for bird watching, star gazing and badger spotting. The view from the garden and bedroom balcony is also spectacular. Thank you so much for making the birthday very special, including bunting and balloons. such a lovely touch. We will most certainly be back.

There is a box (wifi) on the ceiling of the bedroom with a green light on it, and it illuminates the whole bedroom at night time. I’m not a great sleeper so had to cover it for the second night as I’m one of those annoying people who need darkness to sleep well. It would have been a real treat to have a slightly bigger bed as a double felt quite small. But still adequate and did the job!

Stayed here with my partner and our rescue dog hoping for a quiet break (dog is scared of most things bless her) and we had just that! We have never stayed at a cleaner place and the small touches left by the hosts were so thoughtful. Anything you may need was already there! We were initially slightly dubious as the garden was shared and not secure but worth keeping the dog on a long lead for the other positives at the property ( also the garden is huge and stunning). Overall the most peaceful and relaxing stay we’ve ever had!

Really minor thing but the sofas were slightly uncomfortable.

The Nest is a superb place to stay in every way: layout and decor, location, views, privacy, facilities, dog friendly, lovely hot tub, great welcome pack and really nice hosts. We even had great weather 😎

Nothing not to like, would highly recommend and intending to return
