Corner Cottage Anuradhapura - Homestay and Cooking Class

It was a real pleasure to meet Gihan and his family. They welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home from the very beginning. Unfortunately, I had only booked one night, and they were fully booked afterward, otherwise, I would have happily stayed much longer! The room was beautiful, spacious, and super clean. Gihan and Dinu give excellent advice and are always ready to help with anything you need. So far, this has been my best experience in Sri Lanka. Thank you so much for everything!

The room was clean and comfortable. What really stood out to us was the hosts, they were exceptionally welcoming and warm and they could not do enough for us. From organising tuktuk tours, to laundry, to cooking classes, they were brilliant. I would recommend everyone to stay here. Thank you both for welcoming us into your home and sharing your stories and culture with us. We hope to come back some day!

We can only agree with all the other reviews - our stay at Corner Cottage was quite special. We absolutely loved meeting Gihan, his wife and their two boys and had the best time during our 4-hour cooking class (our meal was de-li-cious). It was a pleasure learning about their recipes and getting to know them and their beautiful country. The room was comfortable and clean, we were very happy to have the AC as it gets quite hot in this area. We unfortunately didn’t have time to enjoy the other activities offered by Gihan, but we definitely would’ve done them with more time! We couldn’t have asked for a better time for our last night in Sri Lanka and would recommend staying at Corner Cottage to anyone!
