Beautiful Seaside Cottage Wicklow town

The under floor heating is a real treat in the cold weather. It was so cosy.

The property was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and the decor of the home is very nice and sea-themed, which fits perfectly with the location of the house. There is a driveway available to use to park. The rooms were lovely, with plugs and mirrors available, as well as towels kindly provided by the host. The beds were very comfortable. There is a lovely shower with great water pressure. There are also some toiletries that were available to use. There are board games under the table in the living room, as well as Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, (and more) available on the tv. There is a fridge, oven, dishwasher, cutlery and glass cups available (different kinds, including pint and wine glasses). The view from the property was beautiful, from the back door there is a view of the hill in the distance which is very pretty both day and night. The main bedroom has a window that has a sea view. There is also an outdoor patio set with a table and four chairs, which would be lovely to use in the summer. The location was ideal, and it was very very quiet and peaceful the entire night. The host was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed before our stay, and even checked in with us to ensure everything was going well, which was much appreciated. This property is big enough for a family as there are two single beds in one room and one bigger bed in the other room. Overall our stay was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend this cute cottage if you are looking for a stay close to the town and with an amazing view.

Nothing, it exceeded our expectations - the photos don’t do the beauty of the property justice - we were beyond pleased with the setting

It is self catering and the cottage has a warm welcoming feeling to it. The host left notes on how to operate certain items and check out. We were blessed with good weather which made the walk to Wicklow and back very enjoyable.

I have nothing to criticise on this property.

Super easy check-in. Prompt reply from the host when we couldn’t find the TV remote & it was returned within 15 mins. Good water pressure. Very close to a playground. Beachfront, beautiful sunrise views!

It’s a nice little cottage and I could see how it might be more inviting in summer, but in January it felt a bit isolated and run down. It’s in an odd spot - close to a bridge in what seems to be an industrial area. Considering the price, I would hope the general maintenance/condition be of a higher standard - the toilet is loose, there’s a detached plug, some peeling paintwork, broken blinds, extra bedding dumped on top of cabinets etc.

The cottage was just as homely and cosy as the pictures showed and the description was accurate. Despite the weather being cold and dark and the location being right near the beach the cottage was warm and so inviting we hardly went outside 🥰 Ruth the owner had set up everything pre our arrival and was only a text away if we had any problems or questions. Would definitely recommend staying there and will hopefully return this year for another stay at the Murrough Cottage🥰

The views were breathtaking and it was nice cozy and warm.

Location was terrific. It was very clean. Kitchen was well supplied.

Shower needs some work so the water doesn’t go all over the floor.
