The Albert Pub

Needed a last minute place to stay in Hitchin. This room was a great choice, with friendly accommodating pub landlord who checked me in and showed me around. The location was convenient, 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk from the centre. The flat is the original over the pub flat used by the landlords family so there is a home from home aspect to it, the bedroom was cosy and homey with a kitchen to cook your own food and large family bathroom.

I was fine with this but including it for a balanced review in case it's important to other people - with the kitchen and shared bathroom there is a slight hostel vibe to the place so set expectations when you're choosing, this is not a hotel with private bathroom etc.

The location was excellent for me, i have family in the area and it's close to the town and the train station

I used it as a crash pad and was out and about most of the time, it was idea for my requirments
