BHost - Las Cañas

Het is een appartement midden in het oude centrum van Cordoba. Hierdoor had je alles in de buurt van het appartement zitten. Het appartement is netjes gerenoveerd en alles is netjes onderhouden. Het is een schoon appartement.

Door stankoverlast van de buren was het eigenlijk niet mogelijk om buiten te zitten op de patio, dus was zijn maar wat vaker op het terras gaan zitten. In het appartement staat de hele tijd een ontvochtiger aan, dit is jammer hierdoor heb je toch altijd een brom in het appartement. Het was jammer dat je de slaapkamer niet kon afsluiten.

I’ve stayed in many properties with Booking com and this is in my top 3. I’d read the reviews prior to coming and honestly can’t see what the issues are. For me this place is a 10. Firstly it’s cool and quiet in summer, the little pool was an absolute bonus in 38 degrees, I used it at least 3 times a day. The apartment was uber clean and all on one level. It really felt homely as you are in a building with the locals, which I personally enjoyed. It is also situated nicely between the town and the river / old town so very easy to get around.

Nothing really. I had to ring Viviana in the office on arrival as I wasn’t sure I was at the right place, it felt like I was entering a family home. All was cleared up very quickly. I’ve added a couple of pics to help future travellers. The address was easy enough to find and you go through the small door (always open) in the large wooden door. When inside you are in a family courtyard and looking for a light green door with No11 on it which is at the end of the corridor in front of you at ground level. The door is a bit sticky, so once you’ve opened the lock you will probably have to push quite hard.

The location was fantastic, easy walking distance to everything Cordoba had to see.

Initially we didn't realise that the street with the key lock box was not the same street as the apartment, so we were very confused as to where to go. Once we found the place, initial impressions were really not great - we opened the gate to find a grubby looking patio, paint peeling off the side of the little plunge pool, which was also leaking a bit, and the water looked dirty as the pump wasn't working. The sliding patio door was open, and when you walking inside you could see why, it smelt strongly of damp. A dehumidifier was running but it was not enough to alleviate the smell. To use the aircon you needed to put the room key in and turn it on, I suspect if the aircon could have been left on low the whole time, it would have dried out the room better and stopped the smell, as the smell improved over the 2 days we were there. Also, the toilet roll holder was no longer on the wall and the loo seat was loose.
