For centuries, it has embodied the deep longing for Italy felt by people beyond the Alps and has inspired generations to dream of the South. We can actually help you make your personal dream come true! “PiancaLodge” is located in the home of Goethe’s protagonist Mignon on Lake Maggiore—more precisely, on the sunny slope of Cannero. Completely renovated in 2024, the residence features five exclusive 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments. Here, the names of the individual units speak for themselves. Thanks to the mild climate, the property is home to a wide variety of citrus fruits. All you have to do is choose your favorite apartment from among “Orange,” “Lemon,” “Mandarin,” “Cedro,” and “Mapo,” and nothing will stand in the way of a relaxing vacation. The interior design, executed with great taste and attention to detail, features a thoughtful interplay of materials—concrete sits alongside original wooden beams and iron girders. This blend, combined with modern comforts such as free Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and cable TV, gives the entire atmosphere a very special charm. The apartments also feature free air conditioning, though it’s rarely needed due to the sunny location throughout the day. Thanks to the hillside location and the building’s thick, old walls, a pleasant indoor climate prevails in all seasons. Each apartment has either a balcony or a terrace from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains. In front of every apartment entrance, there is a charging station for e-bikes. All guests also have access to a communal garden with a sun terrace measuring approximately 35 m² and a barbecue. Reading all this, one can only conclude with Goethe: “There! There I would like to go with you, O my beloved!” With that in mind: PiancaLodge is very much looking forward to welcoming you! You can park your car in the gated private parking lot belonging to the residence, located about 20 m away. The final section of the access road runs along a somewhat narrower street. 3-room apartment “Mapo” on the 2nd floor with approx. 45 m² of living space, accommodates up to 6 people:
