Large, bright, modern apartment with terrace, quiet neighborhood, very walkable
Large, bright, modern apartment with very terrace overlooking a garden, quiet street, and views of the lake. Located in town, but still fairly quiet. Very walkable: 2 mins to cafe/bar, 5 mins walking to grocery store, 10 mins to lakefront. Free street parking closeby, but can be occupied -- then parking is a few minutes away. Very friendly host who also speaks German. Overall, excellent stay.

Schöner Kurzbesuch am Lago Maggiore
Schönes altes Haus im Ortskern von Cannero, sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die auch gut deutsch spricht. Von der grossen Terrasse aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf die Berge und ein kleines Stück vom See. Auf der Eingangsseite gibt es auch noch einen kleinen Vorplatz mit einer Bank, falls es auf der Terrasse morgens zu warm ist. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber wenn man das Prinzip der Fensterläden erstmal verstanden hat, kann man damit die Belüftung gut regeln. Alles ist in Laufnähe, es gibt einen kleinen Carrefour Express und jede Menge Restaurants nette Bars und kleine Läden, für grössere Einkäufe muss man nach Verbania. Ich empfehle, den angebotenen Parkplatz in einer Tiefgarage um die Ecke zu mieten, zum Ein- und Ausladen kann man bis zum Haus fahren, allerdings ist die Strasse ziemlich schmal.
